Gear Recommendations For Home Recording
What you will need for this class:
- A Mac laptop, desktop, or iPad with GarageBand
- An audio interface or USB condenser microphone (options explained below)
- Pair of headphones
Home computer recording can be done using minimal gear. Mac laptops, desktops, and iPads all come with GarageBand software for free. However, you will need a way to record the audio into your device. This can be done inexpensively with a USB condenser microphone or more professionally with an audio interface.
*The school has one Samson Satellite microphone that can be borrowed by a student in need for the class.
Below are some inexpensive options to explore to get you recording audio into your computer or iPad. If you have any questions, please email us at email@example.com.
